Prudence has already "spent" the $50. She has her teddy bear eyes on several of your patterns. She always thinks she will be the winner.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Kim, another awesome giveaway! I posted it on my blog. What comes to mind when I think of an Old Fashioned Christmas is back when I was at home and me and my 2 brothers would be in our brand new Christmas pajamas and waiting patiently for our parents to wake up. My older brother decided to turn all the clocks up and told our parents that it was 6 am. So they let us open our gifts. They became suspicious when it was 8 am and still dark outside!! ha ha
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway and giving me a chance to re-live a great memory!
Jodi

ReplyDeleteThank you for the very generous giveaway! The mice are very adorable.
Old fashioned Christmas to me is families gathering under one roof and eating tons of food and celebrating Christmas together. Where people don't spend bucket loads of money on useless gifts, but give gifts truly from the heart.

ReplyDeleteOld fashioned Christmas is when family is all together, gifts are homemade from the heart, and life is a lot simpler!

I love your sledding mice, such a fun piece.
ReplyDeleteThe first thing that came to my mind was the church service, I always loved the one we had when I was young, the music and after the kids got to make taffy and the woman made gifts and baskets for others.
Debbie

When I think of an old fashioned Christmas, I envision Mom, Dad, the kids, grandparents and all the other members of the extended family gathered around the farmhouse table sharing the Christmas meal together. Joy, laughter and merriment are writ large on all their faces. A real 'Norman Rockwell' scene plays out in my mind when I think of it! Thanks again for the opportunity, your sledding mice are precious! Deb

ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome giveaway! Thank you for entering me.
ReplyDeleteAn Olde Fashioned Christmas- A snowy New Hampshire Christmas, my mother listening to her Christmas "records", Lots of food and family gathered into a small home.
I will post on my blog for you. Blessings ~Sara
Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteWhen I think of an old fashioned Christmas I think of horse drawn buggies. My subdivision always rents a horse and carriage and has Santa ride around the subdivision with our kids. It reminds me of my grandma. I always think of a note she wrote in my "Grandma Remembers" book about riding in a horse drawn carriage bundled up under lots of blankets. It's still hard for me to imagine that was a normal means of transportation not too many years ago.

Thank you for offering such a very generous giveaway! When I think of an old fashioned Christmas, I think of listening to my mother & my aunts talking about the Christmases they had when they were growing up. Grandma & grandpa came to this country from Poland. They didn't have much money but every year the kids (9 of them) would save their pennies to buy something for their parents. There was always a good meal on the table, & the whole family would gather to sing Polish Christmas carols. The biggest event was walking to church for midnight mass ... then coming home to munch on fresh baked ham & cookies.
ReplyDeleteEEEEEEEEEEEK, I'm all over this one!!

ReplyDeleteHow fabulous! I would be thrilled to win any of these things! I love mice and yours are especially adorable! An Old Fashioned Christmas takes me back to my childhood when I lived next door to my grandmother. All of my cousins came from out of town and spent the night with her and I slept right next to my window looking out at her house ...imagining what Christmas day would hold. We didn't open any presents ahead of time so the day would be presents and cooking (and eating)...with cousins outside playing together. It was simple...all about family...and perfect! ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! "Old-Fashioned Christmas" makes me think of a horse drawn sleigh. I love those kinds of Christmas cards. I will post your giveaway in my sidebar. I'm a new follower. Thank you. :)
ReplyDeleteThese are the sweetest mice I have seen. I think of family at Christmas. This is such a great idea to post all the give aways in one place-I hope it does well.
ReplyDeleteMaxine
When I think of an old fashioned Christmas, I think of a family together in a small cozy home, with a fire, christmas music, hot cocoa, and sharing stories and playing games. Not spending thousands of dollars and gifts, but making gifts, and sharing the real meaning of Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!

Your mice and your question are drawing me back into my childhood when we had the most wonderful times with our Grandparents, with whom we three children had the pleasure of spending our holidays with each year after our father passed away. Those days were in my mind relatively carefree and love was lavished upon us by our Grandparents and their friends. My Grandmother had numerous traditions which she shared with us such as decorating the tree and it gave such pleasure to see our favourite ornaments year after year..the spicy, rich and heavily iced fruitcake which was sliced into small segments and savoured with an afternoon cup of tea using Grandma's best China. There was an air of excitement over every preparation and anticipation of the days of celebration..which we all so thoroughly enjoyed and relished. Thanks for reminding and helping me appreciate just how precious those days together were with our loving Grandparents.
ReplyDeleteThanks for such a sweet giveaway! I am a follower and have already posted about it on my sidebar!
ReplyDeleteOld fashioned Christmas to me means going to a candlelight service on Christmas Eve, bringing home your own Chr. tree you cut down from the woods outback, stringing popcorn to hang on the tree, sipping hot choc. in front of the fire w/your family nearby and singing Christmas songs as you all decorate the tree together.
Tanya
An old-fashioned Christmas brings to mind a country home, with snow falling outside, and family gathered together inside. With lights from the decorated tree and warmth from the fireplace making it all cozy and comfy. Living in the sunny south now, there's some of this that I can not duplicate! A tradition I started with my family {27 years ago!} was the Christmas mouse--I'm always on the lookout for cute mice--ornaments or otherwise, that are "Christmas-y"! So, you can guess what I've got my eyes on!!! I'm glad I found your blog!
ReplyDeleteWOW Kim what a wonderful SWEET giveaway
ReplyDeleteplease throw my name in.
Old Fashioned Christmas the first thing that comes to mind is spending Christmas as a child where we would only get one gift each but it was always the most special kind of day, simple.
It was about the tradition of spending time together as a family being blessed to have each other and a great meal to share. Oh if only people would live so simple today.
I will do a blog post as soon as I hit post on this comment
Thank you
Brenda
I just LOVE your mice. But ohh I don't need another Christmas project right now! But I may not be able to help myself! An old fashioned Christmas to me means homemade crafts, cookies and family.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful giveaway! An old fashioned Christmas to me means home made Christmas cake, bread sauce with the turkey, socks for stockings and spending all day opening presents - not because there are so many but because they are opened one at a time.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, what a wonderful give away. I had a wonderful foster family and they would makes gifts for each other, and you could tell from the gift it was truly a heart felt gift. The first year I was there, my foster Dad got my name and gave me a package of tomato seeds with the promise he would help me grow a garden in the spring. What that said to me is that he was going to keep me in his family and not throw me away. I am still a part of their family till this very day.

ReplyDeleteA special old fashioned Christmas memory..Growing up we didn't have a lot of money. My Mom worked at a drug store..and they would let her charge items. She did everything in her power to be sure we had a wonderful Christmas. One of my favorite memories was getting Madame Alexander Dolls. I know...lol...they were expensive even then...but my Mom would save all year so she could surprise us with one. We didn't get them often...but when we did...my memory is of that beautiful blue box, with the little rosebuds on it. Opening it up to the mounds of pink tissue paper. And inside a new baby doll, or a story book doll...the smell of that brand new rubber the doll was made of. I can still smell it..and hear the crinkle of the paper!
What a wonderful, generous giveaway your having. Enter me!!! I posted on my blog.
ReplyDeleteAn old fashioned Christmas is when I was little and went to the grandmas and grandpas house and having fun with all the cousins.
Hi Kim,
ReplyDeleteLove your giveaways..Hope I get a chance on all of them;)
My most favorite memory of Christmas, was not when I was a child but my kids when they were little. My husband and I sprinkled the magic reindeer dust my 5 years old made at school in the back yard. And drove our trail blazer off to the side of the dirt road and made it look like Santa's sleigh track. They had to put their boots and coats on to check it out before they opened a single gift...They still talk about that day:)
Hope you have a lovely holiday season..
Thanks for the entry.
To me an old fashioned christmas is having all your family around for Christmas eve and morning. I follow your blog, thanks for the giveaway! mamatkins@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteTo me an old fashioned Christmas would be a family decorating a tree together, reminiscing about the past year and past Christmases, listening to Christmas carols, drinking hot cocoa or having soup while it snows outside. Sadly, all my children have moved out of the area and all the relatives we enjoyed so many Christmas dinners with have passed away, Christmas just isn't the same anymore, but I do have wonderful memories.

What a wonderful giveaway. I am a new follower. What do I think of when you say old fashioned christmas, well, I think of waking to the great smells of my mothers huge breakfast. My brothers, sisters & I would run downstairs where this particular album (Bing Crosby) would be playing on our old stereo console. The tree would be lit and there would be so many gifts underneath. We would eat and then open presents. After, we would play outside in the snow. We were very blessed - I miss my mother very much. I hope to recreate similar memories with my four children - thanks:)

Hi! Just joined your blog and I found you through Paxton Valley Folk Art (Deb)! For me, an Old Fashioned Christmas is one baking cookies with my mom. When I was growing up, we would make 12 doz of 12 different kinds of cookies and everyone got cookies from the UPS man and the post man to neighbors and friends at church. To me, baking has always meant Christmas to me!
ReplyDeleteThe mice are so cute! I think of snow and evergreens when I think of an old fashioned Christmas, not that I've ever seen that since I live in the south!

ReplyDeleteFelicia
Kim,
ReplyDeleteMy "Old Fashioned Christmas" thoughts are of
my Dad's Butter Cookies made with the "Mirro" Cookie press. One turn of the handle yielded one cookie. Ever since the end of World War II, my Dad would make thousands of butter cookies and would start in the day after Thanksgiving! He would give them to all his VFW buddies, the people he worked for all year (Dad was a Master Plumber), friends, neighbors and relatives. Nothing beat the smell of his almond scented butter cookies. They would take over the dining room table, kitchen table, card tables, and pretty much every flat surface in the house! If you were lucky enough to receive a tin of them, AND, if you returned the empty tin after the holidays, you were sure to get another tin of Dad's Butter Cookies the next year.
Whenever I participated in a Craft Show, Dad would also sell his Butter Cookies! Often, we had quite a "business" going! He would walk through the crowds with a tray of "free samples"....it was easy to spot him as he stood 6' 4". Compared to my 5' 2"! I would be "lost" in the crowds! He was like the Pied Piper and customers would follow him back to our craft booth to purchase his cookies and my crafts! Always a sell-out! What fun we had!
Sadly, Dad passed away in 2001, but now every year my daughter and I don one of Dad's aprons, put on the Holiday Music and bake Dad's Famous Butter Cookies...we don't bake the thousands that he did, but we make several hundred and give them in the Spirit of My Dad to relatives, friends, neighbors, teachers, and other acquaintances.
Thank you for hosting this Old Fashioned On-Line Craft Show and for the opportunity to participate in it.
I've posted your give-away on my blog and just love all of your new patterns and finished prims!
Best Regards,
~Ilona
Those mice are just tooooo stinking cute!! And I love that when I came to your site, one of may favorite Christmas songs was playing - Bing Crosby's 12 Days of Christmas. When I think of an old fashioned Christmas I always think of Bing and those Shelf Elfs that were so common back then!

Kim,
ReplyDeleteI just love all of your patterns, and those sledding mice are AWESOME!!
Old fashion Christmas brings back such wonderful memories of being at my grandparents house, where we spent every Christmas. My sister and I trying sooo hard to fall asleep, my grandfather teasing us Christmas morning by having to have 'just one more cup of coffee' (we did stockings first thing when we awoke, but the gifts under the tree were opened after breakfast). At Christmas time, he was as big a kid as we were. The aroma from my grandmother's most delicious food-- to this day I can be transported back to that time by the smell of gingerbread baking. Oh, just the warmest memories!!
-Sherry-
An old fashioned Christmas for me means having all my family together, eating delicious food, singing Christmas carols and opening home-made Christmas presents.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for this wonderful giveaway. Those mice are the sweetest.
The first thing that comes to mind when I think of "Old Fashioned Christmas" is getting a REAL tree and decorating it with my grand-daughter We drink cocoa and bake cookies... The togetherness of all the "prep" and making her Christmas memories is my favorite part of the holiday!
ReplyDeleteHello Kim .. I am very new to this , so please forgive me if I stumble and do not manage to do this the right way ?

Wilbur and I are so excited about your give away.
ReplyDeleteWe think Christmas brings wonderful memories of:
Family, laughter, paper spread out everywhere in the lounge. The smell of pine, gingerbread and spice.
The nativity scene, and children dressed as angels.
Always, always the whole turkey with loads of vegetables, Plum pudding with money in. Then there is the full tummies and the annual game of cricket, and flying paper planes.
Then going to bed counting our blessings, and wondering how quickly will it be before the
next one will will be here.
Warm Christmas Hugs
Wilbur and Granny

ReplyDeleteI remember as a kid getting Christmas stockings with fruit, nuts and candy in it. I really didn't like those stockings when I found out that my school friends were getting toys and gifts in theirs. Now that I am (much) older, I miss those stockings. They remind me of a time that was simpler, a time for family to enjoy each other rather than running off to "play" with their toys.

It is very nice to have come across your blog and site - I'm obviously a prim lover, esp a prim Christmas, even though I did not grow up in that fashion.
ReplyDeleteMy memory of MY old time Christmas is about 1967 and my Mother had one of those aluminum Christmas trees (YES I wish I had it!!) with blue and red glass ornaments. We'd pop the popcorn and string it on the tree, right along side those huge multi colored bulbs, and have real hot cocoa drinks that she would cook, I can see her stirring it now. Thank you for the trip down memory lane.

Old Fashion Christmas to me is all the family together and it's snowing outside. Thanks for the generous giveaway.
ReplyDeleteWhen I think of "Old Fashioned Christmas" what comes to my mind is a peaceful scene of snow with a horse drawn sled, men in top hats and scarves & women in big, beautiful dresses, covered with a beautiful coat and a big fluffy hand muff!
ReplyDeleteWhen I think of an Old Fashioned Christmas I see big fluffy snowflakes falling down, wonderful aromas coming from the kitchen, a warm, cozy house with smiling faces, singing Christmas carols and a sense of peace and contentment. Your mice patterns are the most adorable things out there!

This will date me, but old-fashioned Christmas is my mom putting Johnny Mathis on the record player and dancing around the room, cleaning and redecorating for the upcoming holiday! Yep, it was beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI think of my Mother's homemade Christmas Bread, that has been in the family over 75 years. Love It!...Thanks for this wonderful weekend event and please add me to the giveaway. I am a new follower as of today, this is too fun! Holiday Blessings to everyone! Jaja

Hello....I am so happy I still have a day to enter...your work is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOld fashion Christmas for me is when I was a little girl and my sister and I would lay on the floor and sing Christmas caroles under the tree.
Also, so smell of the dolls when I first unwrapped them...if I smell anything like it even now I am immediately taken back to those days!
And finally....anything and everything that was in the old movie "Christmas in Connecticut" with Bing Crosby!
Blessings to all...Deborah
